I just love this guy... Have watched a few of his videos... I love what he says about "fierce compassion" in that we recognize the truth about our own pain/wounds. And I would add, that we don't try to spiritualize them, but we see the real need beneath our pain - which is I think what he was saying. The compassionate inquiry I have asked myself is, "what is the *real* need here?" - whether about my own struggles or about my relationship with others. I think he said this as well, not in so many words, but that was what I heard from him...
I agree very insightful in the case of myself and my family.
